This is my vibe

My name is Julia Plamenig, and I am a Clinical Nutritionist with a background of working as a Personal Trainer for ten years. I'm honoured to be dedicating my professional years to helping clients improve their health and fitness, and it is my personal mission to help people feel good in their bodies - and my goal is to provide practical and achievable nutritional and lifestyle advice.

I bring enthusiasm, passion, authenticity, and philosophical insight to my professional practice. I believe in providing a safe and non-judgmental space for open discussions about diet and lifestyle choices. By sharing my personal stories and experiences, I aim to provide relatable insights that empower clients to overcome their obstacles and progress towards their goals. Having faced my own struggles with diet and exercise, I have accumulated a wealth of techniques and strategies, and am constantly expanding my toolbox of resources through ongoing education.

Empowering Clients

Throughout my personal and professional journey, I have become skilled at empowering clients to achieve meaningful behaviour change. I ask thought-provoking questions in order to understand all of the factors influencing my clients’ health and vitality. By understanding the bigger picture, I am confident in offering honest and insightful feedback. I strongly believe that knowledge is power, and so I strive to educate my clients with current scientific literature to help motivate them to stick with behaviour change.

I have noticed that when individuals understand how and why their suggested lifestyle changes will help, they are able to make lasting behaviour changes subconsciously and effortlessly. After identifying challenges that may be limiting progress, I select targeted techniques and interventions to test their effectiveness. Together, we navigate the journey of making small changes that ultimately result in significant transformations.

A Personalised Approach

Optimal health is a combination of mental, physical, and emotional well-being. I often work with clients who have an unhealthy relationship with food, hormonal imbalances, depression, anxiety, high stress levels, poor sleep, and unhealthy lifestyle habits. With my extensive expertise, I am dedicated to inspiring and transforming people’s lives.

I design holistic programs that are individualised because I recognise that a one-size-fits-all approach is likely inadequate for clients with specific needs. Often I work with clients who have tried several programs before, with minimal success, and strive to help them establish meaningful change.

You will notice my passion and enthusiasm for my mission in the way I communicate, and consistently strive to inspire and motivate others. If I can instil a lifelong commitment and joy for nutritious eating and consistent physical activity, my ultimate purpose in life will be fulfilled.

On a Personal Level

I was born in Vancouver, Canada and settled in Perth, Australia in 2015. Currently, my primary sports are kitesurfing and strength training, alongside a diverse range of activities such as:

  • Squash
  • Yoga
  • Wakeboarding
  • Hiking
  • Cycling
  • Snorkelling
  • Skiing
  • Snowboarding
  • Soccer
  • Softball

I am passionate about finding sports that are fun and engaging, and I am eager to assist you in finding an activity that inspires you.
